Something inpsiring amid our victories and disappointments

Just stumbled into this on Wikipedia as I sit on pins and needles and wait for agent and publisher responses. SIXTY rejections and look at her now!! What an inspiration!!
Wikipedia: The Help is Stockett’s début novel. She previously worked in magazine publishing while living in New York City. It took her five years to complete the book, which was rejected by 60 literary agents before agent Susan Ramer agreed to represent Stockett. The Help has since been published in 35 countries and three languages. As of August 2011, it has sold five million copies and has spent more than 100 weeks on the The New York Times Best Seller list. The Help climbed best seller charts a few months after it was released, eventually selling 5 million copies as of August 2011.

  2. Belief in yourself as a writer is very powerful. Steven King’s “Carrie” was rejected 30 times and Margaret Mitchell’s “Gone With the Wind”, 38 times.
Keep pushing and don’t give up. You’re a talented writer.
